We’ve just released a new BuonMenu feature designed to make your digital menu even more readable and better aligned with your restaurant’s style and your customers' preferences.

BuonMenu now supports light mode, dark mode, and automatic appearance for your digital menu. Here's an example:

Introducing dark mode

Every restaurant has its own atmosphere, colors and visual identity. With the new appearance settings, you can now choose how your digital menu looks to your customers.

You can pick:

• Light mode – a clean, bright appearance that works well for most menus. This is the classic theme and it's the default for existing restaurants. Light mode also supports a custom background color.
• Dark mode – an elegant and comfortable option, especially useful in the evening or in low-light environments, or if the dark theme matches your  restaurant’s style.
• Auto – the menu follows each customer’s preferences automatically.

When you choose the automatic option, BuonMenu adapts to the customer’s device settings. If their phone is using dark mode, your menu will open in dark mode. If their phone is using light mode, your menu will open in light mode.

If you choose Auto, BuonMenu also shows a button (light / dark) on the menu, so customers can switch between light and dark mode whenever they want.

How to change the appearance of your menu

You can enable the new setting in just a few clicks:

1. log in to BuonMenu
2. open your restaurant dashboard
3. go to Profile
4. find the Appearance setting
5. choose Light, Dark or Auto
6. save your changes

Your public menu will be updated immediately.
